If you are one of the many people that have been diagnosed with cancer it is a terrifying time. It is difficult for the person being diagnosed as well as for the family that loves the person with the disease. There are many different forms of cancer. The cancer that I am talking about today many people had not heard about until a few years ago. It is called Mesothelioma. Mesothelioma is a cancer that has been linked to the exposure to asbestos. Asbestos is found in a building material that was used in schools and homes as well as office buildings many years ago. Resulting in many thousands of people being exposed to this hazardous material. Once we realized that this material was linked to Mesothelioma and the sudden outbreak of cases the material was removed from the market. Of course for many the mesothelioma prognosis was grim. People were wanting until the later stages of the disease before they were diagnosed because it was relatively a new cancer on the scene as far as the public hearing about it. Now we are more aware ad we are more informed so we pay attention to the symptoms resulting in more early diagnoses.
