If you are a student and you need to move the financial bottom line is more important then ever. At least that was the case for many of our friends that moved from the town they were in after they graduated. You basically have four options. Use the back of a friends truck and hope all of your things arrive at your new location after a parade through the town of everything you own. It definitely looks different tied on the back of a truck! Second you could rent a truck then load and unload your items and then return the truck. Third you could hire a moving company and let them do it all sounds nice but cost a lot of money which is not the objective when most people are moving. You fourth option is to use a company with the services of upack moving. In this scenario you hire the truck and a driver brings it to you and you load your things and unload your things and the driver returns the truck. This has three enormous benefits. You do not have to drive the truck and you do not waste time returning or picking up the truck and it can be cheaper then all of the above. This style of moving is good alternative for anyone on a budget and I think we all are!

Investors that are interested in commodities often find that one of the commodities that get their attention quickly is platinum. There is not a lot of platinum mined even though it is in high demand and that keeps the platinum price either stable or rising. When you buy platinum coins you know that you are investing in something that many before you have also felt was a good investment. Gold and platinum have been used for trade and currency for 6000 years. There are platinum proof coins out there that investors are finding as an exciting collectable. Although this commodity is monitored in it’s production there is platinum out there. This metal is one of the most sought after metals because it is so useful in many different markets. When you research it’s uses in society it touches everything from industrial to jewelry and that makes it a very stable product. Anytime you find something that is in demand and will always be by it’s track record and the availability of it is monitored you know you will be able to trust it maintaining it’s value to the value rising. I am certain the future holds even more uses for this precious metal that we have yet discovered and that makes it even more exciting. Many people that want to buy platinum often find themselves drawn to the platinum eagle coins. They are beautiful and as safe an investment as an investment can be. Whenever you are investing there is a certain amount of risk just by the nature of investing. If you track the history of platinum you will find why investors find this collodity to be a safe bet and for many of them a lucrative one.

Signing of Declaration Independence

Signing of Declaration Independence

Forth of July – Hope everyone had a fun time over the forth of July. This is a time of cooking out, fire works and having fun. In Montevallo there was a great fireworks display as always. Wish I had pictures. Just simply fantastic, we even waited an extra hour over the normal time that the fireworks usually starts.

Oh yes the is the little thing about the Signing of Declaration Independence.
a more formal description of Independence day.

Independence Day or what we call the Fourth of July. A holiday in the United States commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. This declared to the Kingdom of Great Britain that we wanted our Independence from them. Of course they did not sit on their hands and said ok.
The current celebration of Independence Day, can include fireworks, barbecues, picnics, carnivals, parades, fairs, concerts, baseball games, family reunions, political speeches and ceremonies. That is allot of stuff to do in one day. This is a celebration of our history, the founding of our government, and the traditions of the United States.

Have a great summer
Independence Day is the national day of the United States.

Look out school is out for summer. To me that just means work and some play until is was time to go back to school to relax a little. In a few weeks it will be back to school again. Not to rain down on anyone’s parade but unless you are graduating then now is best time to start planning for college again.

Now we have the iPad, that would have been cool to have at college. Who has one? Give us some feed back on what you think of Apples new iPad

You know the tablet computer, a new form of a laptop computer, that is designed and marketed by Apple. What I find cool it is set up for Internet browsing, reading and listening to media, yes for playing games and maybe some email and homework. Did I forget to mention that the iPad is also a smart phone. Sweet.

Do not forget to start off your summer right by letting us buy your used college textbooks you are not using.

Our Memorial Day is a federal holiday that is observed usually on the last Monday of May. This holiday has a very interesting history. First is was started as a ritual of remembrance and reconciliation after the Civil War called Decoration Day. This a day to commemorates US soldiers that have died while in our military service. Memorial day was first started to honor Union soldiers who died in the Civil War. Memorial day is celebrated close to the day of reunification of the South with the North after the Civil War. Then Memorial was used after World War I to honor Americans who have died in all wars. Every since then Memorial Day has been to honor all those that have died in the military, enabling us to keep our freedom and way of life.

Memorial Day usually marks the start of the summer vacation season.
